Job Description:

Team/Function Overview:

  • The Equities derivatives risk and delta one application support group provides technical and business support for Citi’s risk management system and delta one booking flow.  Products supported include cash equities, equities derivatives, portfolio swap, fund/ETF, bond and convertible bond
  • The risk management system is a business critical framework, providing real time risk/profit loss computation, pre-trade pricing, derivative market data management, post trade feedings, STP to downstream as well as client valuation report generation. The framework incorporates an in house pricing model to provide real time greeks as well as scenario pricing function for trader in managing their pnl. The team is actively collaborating with various critical business users includes trader, sales, risk management, finance control, quants and middle/back offices

Role/Position Overview:

  • Are you a highly motivated individual looking for a new challenge? We have an opportunity for an Application Support Senior Analyst within our Risk and Delta one Production Support team
  • In this role, you will liaise closely with your colleagues in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore, India, London, Belfast, Canada and New York to ensure 24 x 5 coverage of the application. As a member of the Hong Kong business support team – you will be required to provide on-site cover between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 HKT to cover business start-up and close, and any additional demands of the business. You will be expected to cover occasional requirements to provide weekend coverage on a rotational basis to support releases cycles, and participate in disaster recovery testing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide user support for mission critical risk management system
  • Support all aspects of Equities derivatives pricing/booking flow
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
  • Expected to be able to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring of application and underlying infrastructure and regional handover at end of day
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives
  • Cooperation with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
  • Ensure all productions issues are logged and updated as per the Support team policies and procedures
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams

Knowledge/Experience (Essential):

  • Strong knowledge of Sybase SQL. (Build ad hoc SQL queries, perform peer review to ensure stability)
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • Working knowledge on scripting (bash/perl/VBA)
  • Good Business knowledge of derivative products and model pricing
  • IT (spreadsheet/analytical/modeling) skills
  • Working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/Linux). (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under stress and time constraints

Skills (Desirable):

  • Experience in working on the trade floor
  • Experience with real-time monitoring systems such as ITRS Net agent
  • Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools such as ServiceNow/Qlikview
  • Job scheduling tool such as Autosys
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA
  • Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS a plus)
  • Good all-round PC skills (I.e. Windows OS/Networks/General Hardware)
