Product Manager, Global Health Benefits, Asia Pacific
Location: Hong Kong-Hong Kong Island-Causeway Bay
The Global Health Benefits Product Manager will lead the development and management of product solutions for all lines within the GHB segment for the Asia-Pacific markets (Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia) to include medical and all ancillary/supplemental. This will require a thorough understanding of local business priorities and how to effectively deliver effective and compliant market leading solutions with speed and accuracy to achieve growth targets.
This position requires a strong market presence and advanced knowledge of product lines and potential application within these local markets as well as coordination with GHB global products to ensure consistency in customer experience with local relevance in local markets. Product fundamentals including detailed product development, product management and project management skills are required. In addition, this position will also lead cross-functional interaction with internal partners including external partners to compile and shepherd product business cases through the funding and approval processes required and then lead execution and delivery of product initiatives. Position is individual contributor and must have well-developed matrix management and influencing skills to accomplish significant objectives in a complex industry. Must be viewed as the expert by key internal stakeholders including sales, account management, operations, network & clinical, legal, underwriting, pricing and marketing teams and must be able to balance the maintenance of existing products with enhancement as well as the development of new products for both markets.
1. Manage existing products: This includes medical and any ancillary/supplemental lines within market, including Cigna Links products serviced within market.
ü Monitor product performance, working with vendor and internal partners to enhance as needed.
ü Annual pricing review, promotional and marketing materials
ü Ensure compliance of existing products working closely with legal and compliance
ü Lead work with cross-functional teams to update and enhance when required
2. Product Innovation & Development: Define and support global product innovations and solutions. Develop and champion business cases to secure approvals and funding when needed. Lead and manage multi-functional teams to execute product initiatives in region
ü Work with key local partners and business leads to define strategic plan for both near term and long term growth, including vendor partnerships.
ü Identify barriers to implementing future design and work to resolve them.
ü Cross walk global innovations and needs with product peers to maximize speed to market
ü Support client-specific requests which impact product offerings
3. Market Competitive Intel Expert: Ability to work across cross-functional teams to synthesize market and competitive insights to better understand the local markets and how Cigna can win through competitive products relevant both locally and globally.
ü Viewed as the expert by key internal stakeholders including sales, account management, operations, underwriting, pricing, legal, etc.

· Bachelors Degree required; MBA or Masters Degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 5 years product experience
· Minimum of 5 years global healthcare and/or global insurance experience
· 8+ years experience managing cross-functional projects preferred. Six Sigma a plus.
