Job Description

Assistant Manager, Group Policy Service

Location: Hong Kong-Kowloon-Kowloon

The incumbent will work closely with Group Underwriting and Business Development/Client Managers to manage the new business installation and renewals of Local Health Benefits.  This includes collaborating with various internal & external stakeholders such as Business Development, Client Management, Brokers and Clients to resolve outstanding requirements and deliver quality policy services to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage internal & external resources to ensure requirements from clients and SLAs are met;
  • Track and monitor new business and renewals to ensure instructions and data are received and processed on time;
  • Ensure accuracy in issuance of invoices, policy documents and medical cards;
  • Resolve operation issues and complaints;
  • Drive system enhancements to continuously improve policy service quality and maximize efficiency;
  • Conduct process control / audit internally and at service providers to ensure adherence to standards set by Cigna;
  • Prepare monthly management report and ad-hoc report for management;
  • Work closely with internal IT and external IT vendors to report and test system issues. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and perform full cycle UAT to ensure successful production launch;
  • Support product development and sales function by conducting training for both internal and external parties;
  • Handle ad hoc projects and duties


  • Diploma or above, preferably with insurance-related qualifications, e.g. FLMI, ICA;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Employee Benefits Policy Administration of which at least 2 years in supervisory role;
  • Experience in managing vendor is highly preferable;
  • Proven track record of working with IT, vendors and stakeholders on developing user requirements and test cases for system enhancements/projects, and conducting UAT;
  • Good team player, able to work independently and under pressure;
  • Possess customer-centric mindset;
  • Good command of both English and Chinese.
