Lead 3-4 team of about 12-15 credit approvers to review and approve credit proposals of small and medium enterprises and middle market enterprises in accordance with the bank's credit standards
Work with Senior Executive Approvers, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Credit Risk Division on approvals of large corporate and complex credit applications
Review and implement credit policy and HKMA and other regulatory requirements
Work with credit teams in Mainland China for cross-border credit applications
Ensure early warning process is effectively in place
Collaborate with business functions and operational units in formulating new business initiatives and products
Manage special portfolio reviews and other ad hoc projects
University graduate, preferably with a Master’s degree in business related discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in Hong Kong's corporate and commercial banking, with at least last 7 years in a senior approval roles for Hong Kong corporates and have individual approval authority for more than 5 years
Thorough knowledge of credit environment and market practices in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and understanding of commercial and corporate banking credit products, risk mitigation techniques and related regulatory requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise and negotiate appropriate credit solutions with business units.
Prior client facing experiences such as client credit visits preferred
