BlackRock - Talent & Diversity Partner APAC, Human Resources

Location: Asia Pacific-China-Hong Kong

Role Background:


Based in Hong Kong, the Talent & Diversity Partner for APAC position is responsible for the development and implementation of regional talent management initiatives for BlackRock across Asia Pacific. This position reports to the Head of Talent & Diversity APAC, and will require an individual who is creative, flexible, solutions- oriented with the ability to influence and collaborate with business stakeholders and HR colleagues both regionally and globally in a global, matrixed environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the regional and global talent management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives, programs, tools and processes to support the firm’s talent and diversity objectives

  • Ensure effective engagement and execution of global firm wide talent management processes and practices (Performance Management, Promotions, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning) by adapting them based on regional and/or country needs

  • Support the assessment, development, coaching and feedback of high potential employees at all levels

  • Lead facilitation / Co-facilitation of leadership and management trainings, HIPO development programs

  • Manage regional talent and leadership programs and events

  • Utilize analytics and qualitative data to inform design and decision making around talent and diversity programs

  • Consult on and develop bespoke solutions to meet the talent and team development needs of individual business functions and/or offices

Skills, Experience and Qualifications     


  • Bachelor degree

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in human capital consulting, talent management, HR advisory or business / technology related roles with exposure and passion for people development initiatives and projects

  • Previous experience working within the financial or professional services industry 

  • Previous experience working within a global matrix structure

  • High adaptability to change

  • Feels a sense of passion and purpose for developing people

  • Originates ideas and takes initiative to scope, design and customize solutions

  • Solid facilitation and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at senior management and cross country levels

    Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a fast paced, high pressure environment

  • Well-developed organisational and project management skills

  • Sound judgment, professionalism and discretion

  • Strong team orientation

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
