BlackRock’s Cash Management Group (CMG) is one of the largest cash managers globally. BlackRock has managed cash portfolios since 1973. We serve a diverse range of client segments such as; banks, large corporations, insurance companies, asset managers, high net worth individuals, small businesses, municipalities (cities, states, etc.), foundations/estates, hospitals and universities. We reach clients via multiple means; financial intermediaries/third party sales, direct sales and portals. While each client segment has unique nuances, ultimately all of our clients are seeking safety, liquidity and competitive net returns.
The Client Relationship Manager will be accountable for supporting the Financial Institutions team together with a small portfolio of client accounts under the supervision of the Head of EMEA Financial Institutions Cash Sales. Ideally suited to someone who wants to become client facing the individual will be responsible for:
Coordinating new and existing distribution and referral agreements.
Assisting team members with on-boarding of new clients
Ownership of KYC process for account opening liaising directly with the clients
Ensure client account set-ups operate smoothly. On a timely basis address client enquiries, errors and complaints.
Active engagement with a small portfolio of clients (mainly portals); developing a thorough understanding of the FI client base with a view to becoming fully client facing at some point in the future.
Develop strong understanding of investment products used by the client base.
Work closely with relevant internal business units, liaising with and co-ordinating efforts between teams where required - in particular Portfolio Management, US Sales Team, Legal, Tax, Finance, Marketing etc.
Take responsibility for providing data on clients internally and externally and ensuring information within Blackrock’s databases is up to date in respect of the team’s clients.
Develop expertise in local market practices.
Provide strategic input into developing the service model for clients.
Host client entertainment events alongside other members of the team
Relevant industry experience, self-starter, team player, organised, entrepreneurial, high standard of presentation skills, strong analytical skills, excellent communication
Knowledge & Languages:
An understanding of treasury and languages would be beneficial.
Over two years of broad technical and/or financial services experience.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and presentation) skills are essential.
Travel will be required.
