Job Description

Manager, Supply Chain Projects, Dispersions & Resins Asia Pacific

Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s Asia Pacific headquarters oversees more than 18,000 employees at about 100 production sites and 125 sales offices across the region. In addition to a number of regional business units, the Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.
Objectives of the Position
  • Reporting to Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management, Dispersion and Resins Asia Pacific, the incumbent will
    • Lead and implement Supply Chain Management projects to align Supply Chain with Business Unit strategy
    • Be the business expert for end-to-end Supply Chain process, such as order- & transport management as well as logistics process in the region
    • Be the single contact point for supply chain model related topics within the region and towards other regions or global teams e.g. replenishment, chasing order, supply network
    • Continuously develop and improve Supply Chain competencies in the sub-regions and drive operational excellence together
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead Supply Chain Management projects, coordinate with sub-regions or countries for implementation and change management
  • Drive continuous optimization of order management and logistics process according to business needs considering cost and service efficiency
  • Explore, develop and evaluate concepts and strategy to provide specific customer solution with optimized Supply Chain model
  • Identify cost drivers within Supply Chain process in Asia Pacific, initiate cost saving measures
  • Coordinate and exchange best practices of end-to-end Supply Chain process regionally across own and other business units and functions, to provide required input or support to global and other regional teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management with consulting, and project management
  • Strong and comprehensive knowledge in process, quality management and change management
  • Experience working in multinational interdisciplinary environment
  • Presentable, strong facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Fluent in English
