Manager, Marketing Communications (Digital Marketing), Corporate Affairs Asia Pacific
Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong
Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s regional headquarters oversees more than 16,000 employees at about 100 sites across Asia Pacific. In addition to regional business units, Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.
Objectives of the Position
Guide business and functional units on leveraging digital marketing as a mean to support business opportunities and strengthen the impact of marketing communications in the Asia Pacific region
Reinforce brand management as a strategic tool for the Asia Pacific region to engage stakeholders and to support market development goals
Drive and build brand awareness to support business targets by providing consultancy and conducting workshops on relevant brand management subjects to countries, business and functional units
Formulate and execute digital marketing strategy and initiatives on a regional level including global online communications projects, creation of content and adaption of digital assets for online engagement and other communications measures, eDM and database management as well as social media campaigns and advertising, etc.
Collaborate with the external communications team to deepen the adoption of digital marketing as part of the integrated marketing plan in extending market reach
Provide strategic as well as technical advice and training through the lifecycle of a digital marketing campaign from planning, execution and measurement metrics that will lead to positive Return on Investment (ROI) and brand experience
Perform data analysis of communications effectiveness, monitor the performance, assess results against goals and apply the insights to optimize spend, design and content delivery.
Review new trends and provide insight and education to the company on the development in digital marketing.
Holder of bachelor’s degree or above in Business Management, Marketing, Communications or related disciplines
5 years or above relevant working experience in marketing communications including 3 years or above in digital marketing, preferably in a B2B or agency environment
Previous experience in an international and multicultural environment is preferred; Exposure to business development, business strategy or planning is a definite advantage.
Excellent creative writing and presentation skills
Goal oriented and proactive with proven capability of reaching targets under time pressure as well as leading and influencing global/ local counterparts
Good understanding of Asian markets including the social media trend across Asia Pacific, especially in China
Good business sense, strong analytical and planning skills as well as data-driven thinking
Excellent working knowledge of computer programs like Microsoft Office programs and Photoshop; working knowledge of Content Management System
Fluency in English and Mandarin; knowledge of an additional Asian language is a plus
