Manager, Management Consulting, Asia Pacific

Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s regional headquarters oversees more than 16,000 employees at about 100 sites across Asia Pacific. In addition to regional business units, Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.
 
Objectives of the Position
  • As an in-house management consultant, you will report to the Regional Head of Management Consulting Asia Pacific, work on and lead management consulting projects to develop marketing strategies, establish business processes or structures and integrate acquired companies. Through various projects you will have the opportunity to learn about BASF's diverse business areas and to network with the regional and corporate top-management. Job Responsibilities
  • Work on and lead management consulting projects for BASF business and functional units across the rapidly expanding Asia Pacific region
  • Develop global BASF marketing strategies, establish business processes or structures and promote the integration of acquired companies
  • Answer strategic and organizational questions on how to develop BASF further
  • Involve in various internal projects and cross-regional interaction with our Germany-based headquarters
 
Requirements 
  • Holder of bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry or other relevant specialization, followed by a top-tier MBA
  • 3 years or more work experience in consulting and project management in an international business consultancy or a similar environment
  • Practical experience in marketing & sales, organization (process and structure) or post-merger integration/ carve-out
  • Experience working with Asia Pacific is necessary, and cross-regional experience would be an advantage
  • Ability to critically challenge what already exists and to come up with unconventional and creative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy working in an international team
