HR Business Partner - Projects
Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong
Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s regional headquarters oversees more than 16,000 employees at about 100 sites across Asia Pacific. In addition to regional business units, Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.
Objectives of the Position
Reporting to the Head of Global HR of the division, Dispersions and Pigments, the incumbent will work closely with business leaders to implement Asia Pacific people strategy with the aim to build up technical expertise and key capabilities and achieve regional strategic and operational business objectives.
The incumbent will improve organizational effectiveness through implementation of talent solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a high-performance culture for the division.
Support the implementation of initiatives in driving mindset change, skill building and behavioral change to build organizational capabilities
Facilitate talent and organizational reviews with business leaders in Asia Pacific to identify key industry experts and leadership talents, develop retention strategy as well as building up succession pipeline to ensure business continuity
Develop experience matrix, success profile and structured development roadmap for key roles to assess organizational capabilities, accelerate development of key talents, and enable a performance-driven and development-focused dialogue for managers and employees
Align HR initiatives with business priorities: Partner with HR and business leaders in the identification and prioritization of current and future talent needs, develop and deploy a regional talent acquisition strategy, including a young talent program, to support business growth
Analyze people data and define key talent metrics to enable HR and business leaders to steer talent decisions
Support the Head of Global HR of the division in implementation of global HR projects as needed
Bachelor degree in Social Science, Business, HR Management or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in talent management, learning and development and/or organizational development, combined with a strong execution and project management skill
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English
Strong drive for results and ability to collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels effectively
Ability to influence others via relationships, information and data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
