Job Description

Assistant Manager, Technology Platforms

Location: HONG KONG

  1. Work with internal (Regional IT and AXATech) and external IT Solution Providers to provide application solution estimation for all system development work
  2. Translate business requirements to technical details of the solution and communicate with the IT Solution Providers
  3. Accountable for delivering application solution to meet agreed baseline estimate
  4. Ensure application solution meet AXA’s policies, standards and quality requirement
  5. Support Project Managers in managing scope, schedule, and cost throughout the project delivery life cycle
  6. Manage technical issues and mitigate technical risks
  7. Manage maintenance work transition from Solution Providers to the Production Support team
  8. Communicate confirmed scope and schedule change of IT projects with Solution Providers
  9. Work with IT Solution Providers to prepare software migration package
  10. Coordinate with Release Management for production


  1. University degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  2. A minimum of 7 years experience in IT solution delivery. Preferably in insurance & financial services field.
  3. Experience in managing external vendors to deliver applications that meet company defined quality standards
  4. Strong solution delivery management skills and experience, and a proven track record of implementing medium to large-scale systems
  5. Solid experience of managing and coordinating delivery resources from multiple teams, onshore and offshore, in-house and vendor
  6. Solid experience in managing solution delivery through outsourcing arrangement and offshore development centre
  7. Experience in various domains of Insurance solution delivery (for example, distribution systems, business intelligence, CRM, printing solution, etc).
  8. Strong inter-personal and presentation skills
  9. Excellent verbal and written English communication
  10. Fluent in Cantonese
  11. Fluent in Mandarin is an added advantage
