Job Description

Assistant Manager, Business Development

Location: HONG KONG

  • Manage retail insurance on the development of HSBC phone banking business in meeting the sales targets
  • Liaise with Marketing to develop the relevant marketing activities to drive sales
  • Identify business opportunities to maximize channel effectiveness
  • Enhance partner’s relationship by working closely with their counter-part in meeting their needs
  • Plan and execute sales campaigns and any other sales initiatives to acquire new business and increase penetration in existing business
  • Support customer retention on the execution of initiatives
  • Work closely with technical product development team to support of developing / enhancing  retail insurance products
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis and industry trend studies
  • Develop presentations, business proposals and reporting in meeting the business needs


  • Degree or High Dip. In Business related discipline
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a business development, partnership management or marketing related role
  • Experience in insurance, campaign management, marketing management and call center is a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives and subject matter experts
  • Able to cope with pressure and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and successfully
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
