Job Description

Assistant Actuarial Manager

Location: Hong Kong

  • Design and maintain corporate policy on the principles and practices on participating business management
  • Conduct detailed analyses and prepare reports for dividend recommendations
  • Review disclosures related to non-guaranteed benefits to ensure they comply with GN16 and are in accordance with our dividend / bonus philosophy
  • Provide explanations of results and recommendations to product and distribution teams as well as other stakeholders including regional and group offices
  • Asset share and guaranteed charge calculation and management
  • Identify and implement process improvements for the asset share calculation and dividend / bonus determination processes
  • Contribute to strategic asset allocation review of participating business through providing opinion in respect of PRE
  • Coach and develop the junior team members



  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary
  • 7 or more years' experience in life insurance industry
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Able to work independently as well as a good team player
  • Good command of business English, both in written and spoken form
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Actuarial Manager
