Deskside Support Engineer

Location: Tsimshatsui

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong English communication skill and desktop support background to join our desktop support team at client’s site - leading international investment bank. This position offer training and career advancement to our dedicated Trading Floor Support team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for desktop PCs – both software and hardware
  • Physically set up computers and software system installation
  • Perform basic hardware moves and changes
  • Record and manage all incidents and requests in ticket-tracking system
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues by acquiring necessary information to best measure impact to the customer
  • Develop and update new and existing process
  • Proactively inform management of trends, significant problems and expected delays.
  • Provide other IT-related support as required by the business
  • Update and manage inventory on new incoming hardware orders
  • Communicate with vendors for incoming hardware orders and repairs


  • Degree holder in Computer Science or relevant discipline
  • Advanced English communication skills with strong verbal, written & listening
  • 1 to 3 years IT Industry experience in financial area
  • Experience in delivering Superior Customer Service experience, from a financial company preferably
  • Good Working knowledge and IT experience supporting Microsoft Windows configuration, Desktop Administration, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of Intel based PC hardware/peripherals
  • Ability to make sound decisions following approved procedures in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks occurring simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Working Shift Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 working Hours/day shift between 06:30 to 19:00 based on shift roster defined by team manager
  • Occasional non-office hours (night & weekend) over time work requires
