Our client is a well-known multinational company with a presence in over 50+ offices across the globe. In Asia Pacific they have continued to expand into new markets as well as through M&A. As a result they are now looking for a Regional Treasurer to support their ongoing activities.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, your role will be instrumental in reviewing their existing treasury operations, devising a more efficient strategy for the region and drive improvements for all treasury matters. You will develop an appropriate funding strategy, build the right banking relationships and negotiate external financing and corporate or structured finance as necessary. You will also help implement a cash pooling system and put in place intercompany financing and lending policies. You will manage treasury reporting and risk assessments, cash flow management and execute appropriate hedging activities, forex exposures and group interest rates. In addition to collaborating with the group treasury centres across the world, you will proactively drive improvements when necessary, refine policies and procedures and ensure compliance of treasury centres in all local jurisdictions.
Suitable candidates will be from a commercial corporate background and have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in a regional or corporate treasury role. You will have proven experience of proactively driving changes and demonstrate working within a dynamic environment of change, or through M&A. You will have strong communication skills to work across business lines and cultures and have an innate problem solving ability, enjoying working with the business to resolve complex issues. You will be technically strong in finance and all round general corporate treasury, and have an open and honest approach to everything you do.
