Group Financial Manager

Location: Hong Kong

Our client is a leading logistics and supply chain company with a strong focus in Asia Pacific and Eastern Europe. As the business is expanding rapidly, they are very keen to bring on board a Group Finance Manager to lead the group finance team. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and daily accounting functions of the Group.  You will also play an important role in working with senior management for corporate development and treasury projects. 

Key responsibilities

  • Report Directly to the Group Head of Finance and lead a small team;
  • Review monthly financial reports of over 50 subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Group policies and IFRS;
  • Ensure that the monthly management reporting are carried out efficiently;
  • Review the Group’s monthly consolidated financial information
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for directors’ review during monthly board meetings;
  • Prepare Group’s consolidated financial statements and subsidiaries’ statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS/HKFRS;
  • Monitor weekly/monthly cashflow forecast and accounts receivables of the Group;
  • Review of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of the Group’s annual budget;
  • Ensure tax compliance and identity tax planning opportunities;
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers in connection with annual audit and tax filing;
  • Assist with ad hoc projects for new business opportunities;
  • Provide support to Group and overseas finance teams on accounting issues;
  • Provide coaching to team members;
  • Assist in ad hoc M&A projects 

Suitable candidates should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Professionally trained in international accounting firm and CPA/CA qualified
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance/Accounting with preferably with some experience in the logistics/supply chain/trading environment
  • Sound technical expertise in internal management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and month end accounting
  • Can do attitude with good time management, ability to multi-task and work under pressure / long hours
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion is a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in MS office applications (particularly Excel) and a desire to learn new systems
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to details
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent in both written and verbal English and Chinese
