Engineering Manager – White Goods

Location: Hong Kong

Our client designs, produces and distributes high end innovative electrical, audio visual and household products for consumer markets. They have a strong presence in overseas market and pride themselves in their innovative design and quality of goods. They now look to add to the business a seasoned professional with solid exposure in home appliances and an engineering background. 

This Engineering Manager will oversee engineering activities for home appliances (white goods) including the development of overall engineering strategy and product roadmap, working with production partners to establish metrics to measure quality of products, with marketing department on new products development. You will also have to lead the preparation of relevant documentation and work with internal parties on tenders and contracts.

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background with at least 5 years of relevant experience within home appliances industry. You should be familiar with product life cycle of white goods products including the development, management and marketing of products. You should have solid project management skills, as well as the ability to articulate abstract ideas to non-technical audience. The successful candidate should have participated in R&D projects for relevant products; and preferably with people management experience.  You should be highly fluent in English, ability to speak any Asian language will be a plus.
