Wealth Advisor (SM / Associate Director Level)

Location: Hong Kong, HK

Position Objective:

As the Wealth Advisor, reporting to Head of Wealth Management Strategy, the jobholder provides support to channels, related to trust, tax and estate planning, in driving our business in the High Net Worth (HNW) segment. As the subject matter expert on trust, tax and estate planning, the jobholder will also support the development of related products and services.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-ground support to sales teams and intermediaries regarding trust, tax and estate planning enquiries
  • Support client meetings and advise on trust related matters with the aim of acquiring new businesses for the High Net Worth segment
  • Coordinate with internal or external trustees, tax & legal consultants and other vendors to deliver related services and responds to client service requests
  • Develop and provide related training, sharing sessions and communication materials to sales teams
  • Provide thought leadership and insights to future proposition development and support related projects
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal compliance/governance guidelines and market regulations
  • Provide support to ad hoc projects arising from time to time  

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent with minimum 8 years of experience working in wealth advisory for high net worth segment
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in trust, tax and estate planning
  • Sound understanding on trust law, the HK Trustee Ordinance, tax regime of key countries, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Experience in using insurance products as planning tools
  • Possession of, or perusing related professional qualifications (e.g. STEP)
  • Customer service focus with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple priorities
