Lead Portfolio Management, Governance and Process

Location: Hong Kong, HK

Job Summary

The lead’s focus is to design a governance framework that will uplift quality and standards in the organization, establish process and procedures for portfolio and contract management, identify gaps and create standards, best practices, controls and tools to promote efficient use of Integration technology, effective processes and organization structure to support business functions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Provide overall leadership in Governance, Process and Control
  • Provide strategic oversight and management to time, cost and quality targets
  • Partner with business to leverage technology, process and data to tackle business challenges/opportunities, to improve strategic decision making, reduce risk, create operational efficiencies and fuel business success
  • Design organizational model required to support organization, technology and process transformation
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of integration and solutions from vendors
  • Provide SME input and industry best practice on process transformation, organizational structure change and standardization

Portfolio Management

  • Establish and manage portfolio management process and governance model
  • Manage inter project conflicts, dependencies and external constraints
  • Ensure the planned benefits are identified, tracked and obtained
  • Manage all portfolio issues and risks for resolution

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline
  • 10+ years of IT related experience in architect/managerial position, preferably in insurance or financial industry
  • A demonstrated track record of making a difference and adding value. Must be able to develop relationships across IT and business units, working cross functionally to achieve results
  • Proven ability to lead and demonstrate strong sense of ownership
  • Self-motivated, action-and-result oriented, team player and proven ability to influence others
  • Excellence verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in establishing framework and managing process transformation
  • The ability to operate effectively in a complex environment and support multi stakeholders
