Job Description

Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting

Location: Hong Kong, HK

Position Objective:

Handle financial reporting and regulatory/tax filing for AIA HK & Macau and assist the filing of regulatory/tax returns on timely basis

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Filing
  • Ensure AIA HK & Macau comply with the regulatory requirements
  • Assist in monitoring the solvency margin for AIA HK & Macau on monthly basis
  • Report the financial data and other relevant financial information for AIA HK & Macau to Group Finance for OCI reporting on quarterly basis
  • Prepare the quarterly general business return for AIA HK and submit filing to OCI on quarterly basis
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation of AMCM filing and relevant questionnaires for AIA Macau on quarterly basis
  • Prepare annual regulatory return and other relevant financial information for AIA HK and Macau for annual filing

2. Tax Reporting and Filing

  • Assist in profits tax provision and other tax templates for AIA HK & Macau for Group Tax review on quarterly basis
  • Assist in preparation of the annual profits tax computation/return for AIA HK & Macau for Group tax and external tax practitioner review

3. Other responsibilities

  • Prepare the management report for property investment business for AIA HK and ensure accurate monthly booking
  • Prepare the IFRS template, balance sheet reconciliation and other templates requested by Group Finance on quarterly basis
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by Senior Manager in order to meet operational and/or other requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate and a member of recognized professional accounting body plus 4-5 years relevant experience
  • Sound IFRS, tax and insurance regulatory knowledge and experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge in financial accounting system and ability to run accounting function of responsible area
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Sound teamwork ability
