Assistant Actuarial Manager, Actuarial Financial Reporting
Location: Hong Kong, HK
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting process
Perform valuation of liabilities / projection related to financial reporting
Conduct valuation analysis based on actuarial guidelines and principles
Design and write computer programs for conducting analysis such as pricing, profitability, financial projection, etc.
Develop special quotations
Prepare reinsurance reporting and/or monitor settlement and reconciliation
Participate to annual budget and other regular internal management report
Participate in various projects and contribute to the continuous improvement in efficiency and quality of financial reporting
2. Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements
3. Lead and develop junior staff to perform financial reporting
University / College graduate plus at 3-5 years of relevant experience
Attained or close to attaining Associate level in Actuarial professional examination
Knowledge in insurance products and financial reporting basis e.g. IFRS, HKICO, traditional EV & VONB will be an asset
Proficiency in actuarial software e.g. Prophet is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. VBA)
Managerial experience is an advantage
