Project Engineer, Sustainability

Job Summary

  • Work with engineers and architects to balance infrastructural-based building services engineering design with sustainable building design considerations and constraints;
  • Furnish quantitative analysis and strategic advice to optimize performance of sustainable design and minimize associated costs from the outset;
  • Conduct advanced research and simulation, quantitative analysis, and provide guidance to clients, design and construction teams regarding innovative green design concepts, strategies, solution and technologies associated matters;
  • Contribute to the growth of infrastructural-based green design projects;
  • Conduct simulations or other computational analysis to support sustainable design/assessments;
  • Manage green building design, construction, & certification documentation to various project stages;
  • Coordinate green building, zero/low carbon design and deliver sustainable building design;
  • Ensure technical quality of sustainable building design and timely completion of project, including sustainable architectural and engineering design, BEAM Plus, LEED and China Green Building Label associated submittals; and
  • Assist in technical bids.


Preferred Qualifications


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Building Services Engineering/ Energy Engineering/ Architectural Engineering/ Building Sustainability/ Energy Science and Engineering/ Energy and Environment or other qualified disciplines.
  • PhD and Master degrees are an advantage;
  • Minimum 4 years experience in green building assessment, sustainable architectural and building services engineering design;
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills;
  • Possess good knowledge in relevant codes, standards and statutory requirements;
  • Working knowledge in sustainable design by use of computer-based simulations (for instance, computational fluid dynamics modeling, building energy modeling, and solar modeling, etc.) ;
  • Good command of spoken & written English as well as skills in communication and negotiation; and
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Engineer.
