Job Description

Manager/ Senior Writer, Executive Office, APAC

Location: Hong Kong

As part of the Asia Pacific Marketing and Communications team, this role will focus on managing the implementation of an integrated internal and external communications strategy for specific senior executives in the region, as well as researching and developing the content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the internal and external communications activities for designated Asia Pacific senior executives including the timelines from preparation to delivery, and sharing appropriate content on different channels
  • Research, create and edit content for all forms of communications including leaders’ quotes for press releases, keynote speeches and presentations, video scripts, and social media feeds 
  • Manage the messaging strategy to ensure consistent and strong communications on what AECOM needs to profile
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the organization across APAC and globally, to gather relevant content
  • Ensure all communication materials are aligned with corporate brand standards and compliance requirements, including but not limited to the content and layout design


  • Passionate about infrastructure and communications
  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Language or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in copywriting and communications working in an international corporate or agency environment, and able to demonstrate through portfolio of work
  • Experience in working with urban planners/architects/engineers is highly preferred
  • Excellent / native equivalent written English.  Chinese language ability is an advantage.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Strong social media skills with LinkedIn and other social media, e.g. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo, etc.
  • Experience in directing communications in video format
  • Appreciation of the diversity of cultures across Asia Pacific 
  • Successful track record of working effectively with senior leaders in Asia Pacific
  • Ability to work independently, project and time management skills
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of Hong Kong office official hours as and when needed 
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Immediately available is definitely an advantage
