We now have opportunities for an Assistant Inspectors of Works and Inspectors of Works, Civil to join AECOM where you will be seconded out on site to the Hong Kong Airport to assist on the supervision of the existing infrastructure and terminal facilities enhancement works or new capital works projects. You will help to ensure projects are delivered safely, timely and in compliance with specified requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and ad-hoc inspections and monitoring for airfield civil assets and other civil works.
  • Supervise and manage maintenance contractors and work closely with operation departments for the smooth implementation of maintenance works
  • Handle fault cases including emergency works
  • Prepare and update inspection records and maintenance records
  • Review Contractors’ drawings proposals and material submissions for conformity with the relevant Works Contracts.
  • Resolving site problems and drawing ambiguities which may arise to enable works to continue and to be carried out timely.
  • Handle daily coordination to facilitate the carrying out of site works

Requirements

The Assistant Inspector of Works – Civil shall be:

  • A holder of a Diploma / Higher Certificate in relevant engineering discipline
  • Possess not less than 4 years of relevant working experience in site supervision and monitoring of relevant engineering construction.
The Inspector of Works – Civil shall be:
  • A holder of a Diploma / Higher Certificate in relevant engineering discipline
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in site supervision and monitoring of relevant engineering construction.
  • Preferably be experienced working under a live operating environment.

A competitive salary with a 5-day work week will be offered with the opportunity to jump straight onto a live project at the Hong Kong Airport. This appointment will be made on a renewable contract basis.
